One week until surgery

After having a surgery date in October and another date in November, it looks like the third one's a charm. Catherine's open heart surgery to repair her AV Canal heart defect will be at Hopkins on Monday, December 8th. The surgery scheduled for October was postponed because she was doing so well that the doctors thought that we could give her more time to get bigger before surgery. Then in November she was on an antibiotic about a week before surgery to fight off a cough and stuffy nose that her wonderful brother Christopher shared with her. So, the surgery scheduled for November had to be postponed. Please pray that Catherine will stay healthy enough for the surgery next week.

I've created this blog to help keep all of our wonderful family and friends informed of Catherine's progress. We are so lucky to have such caring people in our lives. All of your well wishes have been greatly appreciated.

I hope to be able to update at least once a day. On the day of the surgery, I will update several times as we receive word on Catherine's progress from the OR.

You know I'm not big into this blogging thing, but my thoughts and prayers are with Catherine, you, Dave and your entire family.
Have your Mom keep me posted on how things go next Monday.
May God see Catherine and all of you through this.

Love,
Uncle Robert

Kim, Dave, Christopher, & Catherine,
As you know, I am certainly not a computer user except at work; however, thanks to Jen, I am coming up in the world now that I can blog.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all now and will continue to be so through the surgery and beyond. God bless you all and may He be with you in the days and months ahead.
Hugs and kisses,
Aunt Cathy

Kim,
A big sigh of relief from the Woodside staff -- we've been thinking of you all day.
