Catherine (and Dave) had a long night last night. She has not been able to keep formula or Pedialyte down. It all comes back up after a little cough. But they say it's good that she is coughing to clear her lungs. The docs aren't super concerned yet, even though I am very concerned. She was doing so well with eating while in the PICU and now that she's gotten to the floor she really hasn't kept anything down. Maybe she enjoyed the PICU more than the 6th floor! She has only had Tylenol for pain for about a day now. They seem to think that's all she needs. I would think that I'd need more after heart surgery but I guess babies are different.
Christopher and I enjoyed Breakfast with Santa this morning. He gets so excited when he sees Santa. He is such a sweet little boy, and so full of ideas. We are looking forward to some visitors today. Uncle Mike, Aunt Chris, Robert, Joe, and Mitch and GiGi, Pop, and Christopher will be visiting the hospital. Only the adults are allowed to visit Catherine so the boys will have to stay downstairs. But they should be plenty occupied, Dave told me that there has been a big train garden set up downstairs outside of the cafeteria.
I'm getting ready to leave to go the hospital now. It's my turn to be Catherine's roommate tonight. I can't wait to see Catherine. Please say a prayer that Catherine is able to keep her formula down. I know that I will be praying for a quiet night, at least as quiet as possible considering the circumstances.

Sometimes the road to recovery has a few bumps along the way. Things are going in the right direction. Do not get discouraged. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I know it is hard for you; but, hang in there things will get better. I am praying for an uneventful and restful night for you and Catherine.
Love,
Kristi
